I’m retiring this blog officially and moving on to another:

http://3rddimension.wordpress.com

I guess big wounds require big concepts to heal them – but once you’re back on your feet you’re ready to face the real world once again…

Here’s to a great year and something with this blog – never thought it would actually go that far. I’m not sure how seriously I’m going to take blogging anymore (probably not much from this point on) so it’s time to pack up and move to greener pastures.

I haven’t posted in months and I no longer have reason to. I’ve accomplished what I’ve set out to do. To heal myself and accept all the things I’ve had trouble accepting while finding courage to do the things which I needed to do. I’ve experienced what I’ve needed to here and I feel sufficiently capable of moving up to the next level.

In my quest for truth I’ve found that David Hawkins and others are right. Truth is a form based on perspective. As an example when you are watching someone on stage they are facing you. If someone asked both you and the person on stage to hold out their right hand then you would see that their right hand is facing opposite to yours. That is because you and them are facing in opposite directions. Your perspectives are totally opposite to each other. What is your right may not be theirs and vice versa. And that is the truth about truth it seems. That as much as we like seperating things into true and false there is really no need to because what we consider false may be true from another’s perspective. Of all my attempts to change the world and make it bettter and make people realize there are better ways have only lead me to one conclusion. Sometimes the best way for a person is their way – even though it may be totally opposite to your perspective. It was those small lessons that I’ve labelled “the right to be wrong” and “optimalism” which translated are really “the right to live your truth according to your perspective” and “we must accept things the way they are and not try to constantly make them conform to what we call something ‘better’”. It was a lesson in healing and acceptance – to fight the demon only to find that it was only me who gave it power, gave it life, gave it the dualistic opposite needed for conflict to exist. To feel the wounds and pain to fully realize the meaning of truth – that we all live our own truths and are the better for it.

So there will be no more posts I guess. No more insights I need to share. No more reason to – since you are perfect the way you are. I have heard the words echo before but only through fighting the good fight will the realization of what those words truly mean dawn on you. Only when you try to change yourself, change everyone around you, and tirelessly work to fix what’s broken do you realize that by the act of fixing you are actually damaging things even further. It may be true that there are “bad” things in the world and things we do not like but it is far easier to accept things than to resist them. They say that you must accept the things you cannot change. Don’t confuse it with what I’m saying – I do not believe it’s true. As great people have said in the past (forgot who) you can only change things once you’ve accepted them. Or you’re more capable of changing things only when you’ve learned to accept them first. Oh wait I remember where I found that now:

http://www.salrachele.com/webchannelings/leahonacceptingwhatis.htm

I know most people here aren’t into that kind of stuff but the advice within that link is sound and makes perfect sense to me.

Well anyway in this journey I found out the most about myself over anyone else and that is the most important thing overall. In order to love yourself you must first accept yourself. In order to accept yourself you first need to know the truth of your own being. You can only find the truth of your own being by looking for it. By running every path and seeing where it leads. By “playing things out”. You need to just see where your heart takes you. As Erica Jong has said:

“Everyone has talent. What’s rare is the courage to follow it to the dark places where it leads.”

The heart won’t always take you somewhere you want to be. At the end though you’ll always find that it was a necessary part of the journey. That without the dark places we wouldn’t know what the light ones are. That we wouldn’t be the people we are today if we only threaded down the easy path.

Everyone has their own path and their own truth. The key to happiness is finding yours and not threading down someone else’s.

For my whole life I have had a hard time defining in concrete terms what faith was. From a logical standpoint it seemed like optimism at the best and desperate gambling at the worst. Given the recent turn of events in my life though I can now give you a very concrete definition of what faith actually is:

Faith – When everyone and everything say No but your heart says Yes.

As the title says is marketing really a form of neuro-lingustic programming? I really do not know much about NLP besides it being a tool to change your beliefs – thus changing reality and who you are. If this is true then are marketers really NLP practioners in essence? After all they do the will of the highest bidder to shape what you think, what you eat, how you dress, how you feel, etc… In effect they are trying to define you – and those of weak will are in danger of becoming “the norm” instead of “who they are”. Don’t be afraid of who you are. You can run from it like I did and suffer – and if that is your path so be it.

It makes one wonder though – if marketers are really NLP then the realm of marketing should only be open to the most consciously pure among us. It only takes a few big bad people in the right place on media and marketing circles to really make a MESS of things. A lie in media becomes an abhorrance in reality. Think of all the damage marketing has done to our lives. All the illusions they place among us to benefit a select group of people. Everyone has the right to get what they want. The thing is DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT? Do you know who you are? I venture to say that if you really knew who you were and you aligned with it then you could do no wrong – because in essence people are perfect because everything everyone has done was always out of love. Philosophers and economists say “people do things because they are selfish and only act in their self interest”. I say we all do things because we perceive that doing them will make us happier and thus we do all out of love. Even when we do things which are “bad” we always have a good intention in mind. Resolution, release, reenactment to resolve a past trauma, we are only trying to save ourselves from ourself. Do you know anything about you – who should be the foremost expert on you? Or do you just sit in front of the box all day while the world tells you who you should be? Tells you that you are not perfect the way you are unless you become someone who you aren’t. Do you have control over yourself anymore or are you just a puppet proxy to a marketer who’s at the helm of your ship?

Who’s at the helm of your ship? If you dare not ask the question then it might already be too late for you. There’s no such thing as too late but that little voice inside that bothers you and irks you to do things – aka – your heart knows who you are – it cannot seperate from it. Only you can – and by doing so you will feel the pain of trying to spread yourself over the dimensions of joy and suffering at the same time. Are you in control of your beliefs – thus your reality – or is a marketer using you like a AAA battery?

I just had an interesting thought. Maybe looking at the world through the lens of conservative vs. liberal is wrong!!! Here is the more accurate view.
Conservative = Content = Little to no changes
Liberal = Discontent = Radical and sweeping changes

Thus it would be true that all people tend towards conservatism but only when their needs and desires are totally fulfilled. Given that people are ever more desiring of things this would place most of them in a healthy balanced middle point instead of the two extremes. By being in the middle the duality of conservatism / liberalism would dissolve and just become a state of being.

If the above is correct then you can see interesting patterns emerge. Maybe the most conservative cities are filled with people who want things to stay the same and the liberal cities are the ones filled with people who want things to change. Maybe the view that people are “conservative or liberal for life” is flawed. People will swap depending on circumstances. That’s the one thing I dislike about our political system. People change and thus their affiliations change. Sure you can change parties each year but it makes you look inconsistent and there’s a lag period. Also the overhead. Why can’t we take people as they are – why must we always label? We are one thing today and another tommorow. And that is life – life changes – we change – if we stopped changing and every one of our molecules went into equilibrium we’d fall down dead.

For those of you who have read the Bible (forced to or by their own will) in the past they might be familar with this quote, “He who tries to save their life will lose it, while those who lose their lives will save it”. All in all this line basically means those who cling too closely to material life without a belief in higher powers will lose their life (probably due to bad decision making because of the illusion of a ~70 year lifespan) while those who live with faith in something higher and more real than this life will probably live a better life because of their higher perspective.

I think this quote has a much DEEPER meaning though when framed in the context of many of today’s problems. Basically I interpret the quote in the following manner:

Those who think they are saving their lives by doing certain things which are based on lies or fear will actually end up losing their lives eventually. Those who face their fears and live up to truth even though the spineless say they are disillusioned people risking their lives are the ones who will save themselves in the end.

In short – risk is reward and life while fear leads to stagnation and death.

One example – Heart disease
—————————

People believe cholesterol and saturated fat cause heart disease. Therefore people avoid these things when in fact they were lies created by collusion with the vegetable oil companies to promote margarine over butter back in the day. Now it has become part of our culture to avoid all fats and cholesterol when in fact they are a NECESSARY part of our diet and paradoxically they protect against heart disease!!!

But unfortunately people give in to the lie because it has become a sacred cow – a truth that marks one for insanity of challenged. Oh how we have unknowingly welcomed death to our door! Thus people now take drugs to get cholesterol to ideal levels (“ideal” cholesterol levels drop at the drug companies discretion every year to get more people on their profitable drugs). Everywhere you go people are trying to do everything to avoid heart disease but all of these actions are actually making them more prone to getting a heart attack!!! Saturated fat consumption has declined markedly the past 50 years but our rate of heart disease morbidity has skyrocketed. What is wrong here – everyone is exercising and eating right to save their life?

As Einstein says If you want more of the same thing keep doing what you are doing. Problem is that by trying to save our lives we are actually more prone to losing them because our actions are not based on truth! Saturated fat and cholesterol are NOT the killers – our conversion to vegetable oils, our sugar based culture, and our fear of not following the recommendations of “our trusted benefactors” (thx. half life 2!) are the true killers!

“He who tries to save their life will lose it, while those who lose their lives will save it”

Another example – Security
————————–

“Those who trade liberty for security deserve neither” is certainly the quote for our day. Ever since the “supposed” terrorism of 9/11 which was probably planned by our own government people have been living in fear of the “big bad middle easterner”. Thus people in their fear have created and legislated all sorts of laws such as the PATRIOT act which in certain situations gives the government and military FULL power to negate ALL of our constitutional rights whenever they want. Since this is in the context of terrorism ANY event can be made as an excuse to erode your rights. Now the governments have the power to destroy anyone they want lawfully.

Taking a picture at the wrong place at the wrong time? Terrorist! Put in the wrong keywords on a google search engine? Terrorist! Talking about how the US government needs to be revamped due to it’s inefficiency? Terrorist! Doing something the government doesn’t like? Hell, let’s trump up a TERRORISM charge against you!!! It’s an emergency I swear! We had to take pre-emptive action to save lives! Thus fear becomes the rationale needed to destroy you. Fear is elementary and destructive. Fear has made many make a bad decision in the false hope of “securing” themselves.

The worst part is people who fear the most pass these laws thinking they are SAVING lives when in fact they are DESTROYING them!!! There is already marked racism and questioning of “middle eastern looking people” at airports. We say “racism is gone” – bah – it’s in plain sight! To the fearful and close minded every middle easterner deserves to die and vice versa with the narrow minded middle easterners thinking all Americans should die. Thus we think by going to war we are saving lives when in fact we are losing some now and setting ourselves up to lose many more later.

We think we are saving ourselves by buying into our fear when in fact we are ensuring our eventual destruction!!!

“He who tries to save their life will lose it, while those who lose their lives will save it”

Another example – Insurance
—————————

Boy we have insurace for EVERYTHING these days. You name it – someone’s got insurance for it. People buy insurance out of fear to “insure” their loss if something goes wrong.

But there is no such security in the world of men. Insurance denies claims every day for the most abhorrent reasons. People who deny claims get bonuses from their companies. People pour TONS of money and energy into insurance to protect them from events which will probably never happen. Fire, flood, earthquakes, terrorism, acts of god, unforeseen injury. These are a fact of life. Just as you can’t tell the future you could easily get hit by a meteor fragment on the way home from work and die tommorow. Sorry your policy did not cover deaths by interstellar debris!!! Oh dear…

Thus people buy insurance to protect themselves when in reality they are just pouring a LOT of money into someone else’s coffers in the false hope of protecting themselves. They think they are making wise choices when in fact research and thought make the best insurances against anything.

Sure you could get killed by a car tommorow. Take the hit – and stop spending 90% of your money today in fear of an event which has a .00000000001% chance of happening tommorow! Those of you who’ve had to pay health insurance WITHOUT an employer are painfully aware of this. You spend almost 1/3rd of your income on health insurance to save yourself from something which will probably never happen.

“He who tries to save their life will lose it, while those who lose their lives will save it”
Conclusion
———-

We often think that by giving in to our fears and making choices based on fear we are saving ourselves. Fear is an elementary motivator though and is only useful for avoiding multicolored snakes and scorpions. In all other situations fear is the mind killer because fear is based on lies. As another has said FEAR = “False Evidence Appearing Real”. And we all knows what happens when we make information based on facts which are not true. We make a bad decision – and we suffer for it.

We often look at those who take a stand as stupid and examples of natural selection. What we don’t realize though is many times these people are right and it is our own fear, ignorance, and short-sightedness which makes us think they are wrong. We think they are risking their lives when in fact they are saving them. It is those counterintuive things like running 45 degrees toward a speeding train is more likely to save your life than running away from it. Sure it may LOOK like a bad idea from the start – but once you put away the fear and the lies it is actually the best thing to do!

“He who tries to save their life will lose it, while those who lose their lives will save it”

(the topics mentioned above will not be covered in that order)

In my usual search for truth I’ve stumbled onto something called psycanics:

http://www.psycanics.org

which claims to be “A science of being and life”. In other words it is a system to help you understand yourself and how to use that knowledge to control your life. Personally I like things which fuse the gap between science and spirituality because I think if something is truly and indeed truth then it must be true on all levels. It must be true scientifically and spiritually – a feat most things can’t seem to stand up to (i.e. I can’t see God therefore it is not real). Truth should be observable by our senses and understood intuitively by our hearts. Truth is what is constant and unchanging. It cannot be true in one context and false in another. Truth should be that which stands alone and needs no support to make it true. Just looking at truth should make it plainly obvious to us that it is true. I like to say that logic is truth without God. Truth that we attribute to the realm of observation alone while denying the infinite and higher powers we cannot observe with our carnal senses. For me pure truth requires no logic since it is known first in the heart and then from there can also be proved logically. It is akin to psychic phenomena – first you get a message later on to find out it is true. Many people want proof before belief but with some truths it often seems you will get belief before proof. That for me is what truth really is – something true for all contexts that can be approached from either side to derive the same result (science or spirit). Science and logic will find that all things are quantum energy which springs forth from nothingness – therefore creating infinite energy out of the void. Spirit always assumed that we are bits of God broken off from the infinite who attached themselves to a world of constraint just to try it out. From either end we are coming to the same conclusion – that we are indeed God’s in human flesh – that we are all powerful and have full control over anything.

Anyway I think Psycanics from my skim over the material seems to offer some pretty promising stuff for people who are into understanding themselves. Psycanics seems to be a bridge in learning how exactly we can harness our God power to make the life we want for ourselves. They create a system with scientific labels and easily graspable concepts (well I thought it wasn’t too bad – your experience may vary).

For starters their “Laws of Happiness” article makes for a good introduction to their material. Well you can also look at their home page but I think this article is a much more “practical” start into the material. People like practical things anyway – spirit gets such a bad rap because people say it mostly consists of unusable and idealist theories. Anywhere here’s the link:

http://www.psycanics.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=38

After reading taht in case you didn’t click the link to one of the supporting articles – I think this next one is a must read. “The External Quest” or in my words why working on controlling external things rather than working on yourself is the wrong way to go towards happiness.

http://www.psycanics.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=26

In case you’re too lazy to read the above 2 links I’ll break it down. They say stuff similar to many of my past blog things which has been a rehash of what everyone has been saying for all time. External events don’t control your emotions – your interpretation of the event does. Psycanics just draws this out in great detail with their flowchart.

Be–>Feel–>Think–>Do–>Have

They claim the only thing you really control is Be – which is your identities – which in simpler terms are affirmations of yourself. These affirmations mostly take the form “I am …” or ” I can…” (and their negative coutnerparts I am NOT and I canNOT). Everything else besides Be is beyond your control. Emotions (feel) are beyond your control. Thoughts are beyond your control (we all “think” we think our thoughts – but where do these thoughts come from? On a sidenote at night between sleeping and waking states sometimes I’ll entertain thoughts which did not consciously come from me – same with dreams). Do (action) is beyond our control. Have (acquirement) is beyond our control. I’m not sure if I’m doing their material justice but it seems like to change any of the 4 other levels you must change the root level Be. Therefore the secret to having the life you want is by controlling your affirmations of yourself.

This was similar to a lot of Lester Levenson stuff I”ve been reading and part of the “External Quest” paradigm I’ve been trapped in lately. Honestly I think the world could use a COMPLETE overhaul – but then I realized the chinese finger trap concept of the world again. The more you try to change something the more it resists. The more attached you get to life the harder it gets for you. The more you look for the more you find. Ignorance is not bliss – but I think the concept was a distorted version of what it should’ve been. I think “Ignorance is bliss” really meant “Detatchment is bliss”. You don’t ignore – you acknowledge – but then you back away from it. Example: US Economy. The more I try to find ways to put our economy back on track the more I read about government corruption, social ignorance, stupidity, etc… The more I read the more I feel doomed that we are screwed. Therefore by attaching myself to controlling an external force ( the economy) I diminish ALL my happiness and replace it with anger, hopelessness, hate, and rage. By detatching from it though (I am more than the US economy – I deserve to be happy even if the whole world goes to hell) I find I feel more happy and empowered. Thus regardless of the external circumstance I reach the same end – I am happy. Sure the economy is still going to hell but I don’t have to go down with it .

Be–>Feel–>Think–>Do–>Have

Let’s take the US economy example again. If I say to myself “I am powerless to do anything about this mess” and “I am not powerful enough to enact change” the other links in the chain will follow suit. I will feel angry and depressed. Instead of focusing thoughts on how to fix things I will focus on how to save myself once the world collapses. Thus with my thoughts I will start doing things like stocking up rations and reading US army survival manuals. And as a result – the economic collapse just might come true. Why? Let’s say EVERYONE in the US entertained this thought process – thus everyone would regress into fear and we will have a self fulfilling prophecy situation – we fear collapse so much that it became reality. I’ve read some spirit channelers who claim this is what brought about the first economic collapse – impending fear of doom which brought it’s physical manifestation.

Now let’s turn it around

Be–>Feel–>Think–>Do–>Have

Now let’s say “I am God and I am all powerful enough to get us out of this mess. Even if the economy did collapse I am more than this earthy shell and therefore by divine inheritence I deserve to be happy no matter what.” Now with that feeling comes joy, ecstaticness, happiness, almost an arrogant sense of “I’m gonna do this to you and you can’t do anything about it” power. Thus in this new state of mind we no longer feel victmized and our thoughts will reflect that. Our thoughts will be those of making the best of the situation instead of trying to salvage a sinking ship. Our thoughts will drive us to action – and the action will bring us the result. One in which we will transition our economy with a minimum of social unrest into a more balanced one. Sure the collapse may still happen in either case but our self assertions of ourself will be the fundamental cause of what results from it.

This goes back to the whole, “Shit happens – now what are you going to do about it???” concept. The events are neutral – our reactions we can control through recognizing who we are. I think the Psycanics concept of “Be” can be expressed much simpler. I like to call it definition – who we are – are we well defined? What do I mean by that? I think this concept is easier to understand when you think of a person who is undefined. What does it mean to be an undefined person? That means a person who is not easily conceptualized, labelled, understood – the mystery man. Mystery in a bad sense. They don’t seem to have any feelings, any hobbies, any defining traits. One VERY good indicator of this is, “tell me about x…”. If you stumble after about 2 sentences trying to describe that person it is almost a sure indicator that they are undefined. Undefined can also by a synonym for repressed or closed. “I don’t know much about them…” is an indicator of an undefined person. From my experience I used to be pretty undefined – and from my experience I also know that the less defined you are the less control over reality you have.

Why is definition important? Because a defined person creates their reality. Their definition is the energy, the power, the action behind shaping the mold of reality clay. An undefined person looks at the clay of reality and has very little power to shape it. A defined person with their personality, charisma, confidence, and traits has overwhelming power to take the clay and do what they want with it. In a way defined people are powerful people – people who are unrepressed – who speak their minds and perform their wills. Undefined people will shy away from such a task and let whatever happen happen to them. Thus it is the core of a few defined people who shape the reality of the undefined masses. And this is why we need definition today – the people who are doing the shaping aren’t exactly benevolent. Instead of being nurturing they are taking advantage of you in every way possible. For the most part I expect most people to end up like me – blind to the manipulation until you lose things valuable to you.

Going back to Psycanics – a defined person has strong assertions of “I am” and “I can”. An undefined person is full of “I am not” and “I cannot”. Thus as reality follows thought (and thought follows definition) it goes to show that definition is akin to power. I can is empowering, I cannot is destroying. No one can stop you except yourself – but once you stop yourself oh hell it’s definitely over!!!! When I undertake something now I try to get a new paradigm in my head: I will let anything stop me EXCEPT myself. Sure in external terms I may become a REAL FAILURE but I will NEVER FAIL in my mind. Insanity? Not really – look at the world around you. People like to say “oh bad people will never get far” but open your eyes. The bad people never doubted themselves and they have taken the reigns. Reminds me of that spaceballs quote “Evil Shall always triumph, because good is dumb.”. And good is indeed dumb in today’s age.

Anyway – if you were raised Catholic (and maybe moved on like me) you may have heard about the whole burning bush fiasco and Moses. Basically a burning piece of bush says, “I am” and burns without taking damage – hAx! I think the real meaning behind this is the assertion itself

“I am” (or more technically “I am that I am”

Notice how the bush does NOT make any other assertion after that statement besides a self sealing closure of being itself (i.e. 3 = 3).

The bush did NOT go

“I am God”

“I am love”

“I am a bush that isn’t burning muahahha”

“I am x….”

It just says I am – which hints at the INFINITE and UNCONSTRAINED property of the speaker. The I am could be anything – but the bush does NOT constrain itself to one definition – the bush does NOT stop itself from being anything than infinite by leaving it’s statement in a closed identity loop. I am what I am does not tell us anything about what it really is – therefore it can be ANYTHING. Thus the bush became a representation of God.

So yeah Psycanics seems to be on track with everyone else’s self improvement crap I’ve read – that it is indeed a key to getting what you truly want – whatever it is. By molding our identity and making ourselves defined we wield more power to enact a change in this world. By disregarding control over our identity, taking reality as it is, and keeping to ourselves we will ensure that we will be slaves forevermore to a more powerful being. And if that’s what you want that’s perfectly fine – just know that some people do want to take the reigns and many of these people might not have the best intentions in mind. Thus best to play on the safe side and make yourself known before they make you theirs.

Personal Responsibility is all the rage these days. People are arguing left and right from both sides regarding this concept. On one side are proponents of personal responsibility which dictate that we alone are responsible for all the results are choices create. On the other side are opponents of personal responsibility who dictate that we cannot be expected to be responsible for our choices unless the choices that are presented to us are the best for our benefit. To illustrate this conflict let’s examine one of the front lines of this war: diet

A personal responsibilitist response:

We are responsible for all the dietary choices we make and thus despite the fact that corporations are making unhealthy food cheap and widely available the responsibility falls upon us alone to seek out healthy food. No one is forcing us to eat junk food and thus we cannot sue corporations for their constant barrage of junk food upon us. Despite the fact that corporations knowingly bombard our food with poisons to enhance shelf life we must take it upon ourselves to spend time finding and preparing healthy food because the corporation cannot be trusted to do so.

An anti-personal responsibilitist response:

We cannot be held responsible for the dietary choices we make because the corporate environment is bombarding us with unhealthy food choices. It is the responsibility of the agencies and corporations to supply people with healthy food because that is their job and ultimately their responsibility. Corporations serving us junk food + poisoning our food with additives while making healthy food practically unavailable gives us no room to make optimal choices for our health. Thus since the environment we live in doesn’t give us the power to make good choices it falls upon the corporations to present the right choices for us.

My View:

Which side is right? Those who read this blog regularly know that I am quickly losing belief in duality – that there is an objective right and wrong. I sympathize with the personal responsibility camp. Despite this belief though I think both views are right. I think both views are attacking different flanks of the problem and in reality both are needed to glean out the truth.

The personal responsibilitist is right because you alone are responsible for the choices you make. The anti responsibilitist is also right because you cannot hold accountability for the choices you make if the choices presented don’t allow you to fully express the choice you truly want.

Where does the personal responsibilitist go wrong? Pretend you were tied down to a chair and a bunch of people were kicking the living snot out of you. “You didn’t dodge my hits!!!” the tormentor would laugh as they continued beating you up – blaming you for not taking responsibility by dodging or deflecting their blows. If you had the ability to deflect or dodge a blow you would but the rope prevents you from fully expressing your true choice. Thus personal responsibility fails in this regard. Personal responsibility can only be executed correctly if the environment is ripe for it. In the diet context we presented above the anti responsibilitists seem to be right. We cannot be expected to make good choices all the time when the corporations are rigging the choices given to only suit them. The corporations have you tied down with their bureaucracies, agencies, and their poisons – beating you up and then taunting, “You’re not trying hard enough! You’re not exercising enough! Oh boo hoo take responsibility for your actions! You didn’t have to eat MSG and Aspartame and Olestra (even though these ingredients are renamed and ‘snuck’ onto everything these days without your knowing consent)”

Where does the anti responsibilitist go wrong? Let’s go back to the diet situation. Pretend only healthy foods were served everywhere and junk food, trans fat, corporate poisoning of foods were all illegal and punished by lifelong imprisonment. This may seem like a perfect world but with one caveat. You want some french fries. In fact you may want a Hamdog/Luther Burger or a fried Coke. One problem though – they are illegal now! Having one in your hands is a sure ticket to capital punishment as the food police has made agents out of everyday people. This doesn’t change the fact that you WANT it though. In this case you are not addressing your desire but DENYING it. Thus you never really conquer the desire in the first place or put it into perspective. You will just spend your entire life eating green superfoods while your desire for junk never goes away. Because of the denial model you never really grow as a person. Which one of these is the stronger and wiser person? One who smokes 3 packs a day and then finds their truth and quits or one who says, “I will never smoke…” without ever trying a cigarette at all? Pretend you are a recovering drug addict. Which one of these persons would make the better drug counselor – (A) the one who has done drugs and realized the mess they made with their lives and quit or (B) the one who has never tried a drug at all and does not know much about them. Thus anti-responsibility prevents growth because it forces you to make the right choices without realizing why.

What is the common ground then? Personal Responsibility requires the marriage of two concepts:

1) Having the ability to research and then make the choice you want in it’s true honesty

2) Taking responsibility for the choice you made in step 1.

Only by having both present can “true” personal responsibility be achieved. Step 1 requires honesty with yourself and knowing what you REALLY want. It also requires you to be truthful and research the consequences of your choice to see if you want them or not. If you are eating a baby green salad and absolutely HATE it but are doing it for “health” reasons then you are not being honest with yourself. Honestly you want to have a hamdog but your fears/insecurities/need for approval blanket your true desire with a false one (health). Thus without knowing yourself completely and doing all actions out of pure love (aka because you really WANT to do this action) you cannot be expected to make independent decisions. Those who also make decisions without analyzing all the possible results that may arise from it likewise cannot be expected to make independent decisions.

Conversely once step 1 is accomplished you must have integrity and follow through with step 2. You must take full accountability for the actions you made – EVEN IF THEY ARE WRONG. If you are wrong you must admit you were wrong and move on. People fail in step 2 when they make a decision, find out they were wrong, and then start pointing fingers and making excuses to relieve responsibility from themselves. If you eat some junk food fully knowing what it would entail and then get sick you cannot blame the food companies for making you fat. If you shoot someone with a gun you cannot blame the bullet for the impact. Your choice will reap consequences and you are fully responsible for them. Anything less than that would be irresponsibility.

—

The Denial Model

Earlier on I commented about “The Denial Model”. It is a popular tactic among those who do not take personal responsibility for their actions. In order to avoid responsibility they will adjust the environment in a way as to create “obstacles” to what they REALLY want. The smoker who wants to quit (but in reality REALLY WANTS TO KEEP SMOKING) will not keep cigarettes in their home. The obese person who wants to lose weight (but in reality DOESN”T CARE ABOUT LOSING WEIGHT) will remove all junk food from their home and replace it with baby green salads.

From personal experience I tried the denial model and I lasted about 3 seconds on it. You cannot “run away” from what you really want. As it has been said many times before, “Don’t be afraid of who you are”. You must know yourself and know what you really want – and then act accordingly with your true desires. The reason people put false desires over their real ones is because they fear that the desires they really want are WRONG. This is where my realization came into place – there is no right and wrong. The only wrong there is in the world is the wrong in which you deny yourself what you really want. Sure it may be politically correct to be right – but deep inside you will always know you have wronged yourself by denying what you want.

I’ll readily be truthful and admit many of the things people want are politically incorrect. Death, destruction, rape, pillaging, abuse, gluttony, subjugation, etc… are the true desires of many people. People choose death each and every day. It takes a lot of thinking and self introspection to realize this though – choosing death is ok! “You have the right to be wrong.” Choices in truth are neutral and are just choices – it is our labelling of some choices being more worthy than others which has caused our suffering. Read this blog entry to see why making “optimal choices all the time” is a stupid decision:

http://truthseeker1234.wordpress.com/2008/01/31/theres-no-wrong-way-to-eat-a-reeses/

Ever wonder why the world isn’t paradise? Because someone out there is choosing death over life. And their choice must be respected because it is no better or worse than the choices we would want to make. Paradise to you might be hell to me and vice versa. Read this blog entry which details why things are the way they are:

http://truthseeker1234.wordpress.com/2008/02/25/one-size-fits-none-the-world-of-will/

Thus the only win-win situation we can accomplish is to see paradise in all (even if we judge it not to be) and only then can we experience bliss. Many will label this insanity – but think about this – we have judged and labelled since the birth of human consciousness and are we any happier than the person stepping out of the stone cave? No. As they say if you want more of the same keep doing what you are doing. True insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results the next time around. Discern – don’t judge – and don’t deny who you are. You will be much happier I promise.

One size fits none - the argument for an anarchic government

We can all agree that the current US government needs a lot of overhauling given the upcoming 2008 elections. What I’ve come to realize lately is that sudden violent revolution to “root out” the deeply embedded problems in our government would not work (even though it seems like this is the only way). This is due to the concept of “one size fits none”. Similarly you can think of this concept as “things exist in this world because someone wants them to exist”. This concept is also related to “If you don’t have something you want it’s because you didn’t want it enough”. What I’m trying to say is that our system is inherently flawed because it applies a set of uniform “one size fits all” set of rules, laws, morals, ideals, thought structures, culture, etc… onto an infinitely diverse set of people.

Basically “one size fits none” is a play on the “one size fits all” concept. Government exists (ideally) to become a manifestation of the rules and laws needed to keep society “stable”. The problem with the whole concept of government is that it applies a “one size fits all” approach. In a capitalist country you must play society as a capitalist. In a communist country you might play society as a communist. In a tribal government you must play society as a tribe member. Thus each person born or migrating to a governmental entity is expected to conform to the rules of that entity. And this is where the trouble starts.

People are different. People are unique. People will do what they want. These are the three self evident truths of humanity. No matter how similar you are to someone they will never be “exactly” like you. No matter how much you try to emulate or approximate another you will be you and they will be themselves. You cannot think their thoughts or speak their words (unless you are of higher consciousness in which case you recognize all variances of human behavior may be just manifestations of the conflict in the one human consciousness – I’m not sure – I’m not one of those people yet). Given that we can’t “transpose” or “merge” our consciousness into another we must assume for now they are different and unique. Given that how do we expect our “thoughts” of how the world should be could exactly agree with theirs. Even if the thoughts of two people did match we can never assess the “magnitude” or “variance” of their thoughts compared to ours. I like chocolate. They like chocolate. But do we like chocolate to the same degree? Probably not. Even if we did – our experiences of “joy” deriving from chocolate would be completely unique. Even if they were the same some other aspect of it would differ UNLESS we can totally meld into their mind and feel exactly as they do. Thus we never know what can be going through another person’s consciousness besides our own.

Since we can’t figure each other out then we cannot be assured we are all the same. Thus a “one size fits all” approach can never work in government. One Man’s food is another man’s poison” – Lucretius comes to mind as a similar example. The US encourages dairy products but they may make a Swede healthy while destroying an African American whose biological makeup usually makes them lactose intolerant. A shining example of government “one size fit all” approaches destroying us. Sure we make rules and laws that try to achieve “the common good” but for every law you create someone out there WANTS to break it. WANTS to break it. For every “don’t kill law” someone WANTS to kill another. For every “abortion law” someone WANTS to have an abortion. And as controversial as this is – who are we to deny what someone else WANTS. Do we know these people? Do we know the thoughts in their head the feelings they feel the consciousness of their conscious? We don’t – so we have no leverage to judge their actions. We have no right to impose government that applies a one size fits all approach. Our ideal government is no government. Anarchy. Because we are all different. And until government learns to respect that there will always be suffering and conflict because someone WANTS but that someone is being DENIED. Denial never works. Denial is sweeping under the rug. Don’t be afraid of who you are. You are a speck of god consciousness with god powers of thinking (we can think of anything – we know the concept of infinity). We are infinite and thus any attempts at denial and suppression are constraints on our infinite nature. Can you constrain the infinite? Can you say what the biggest number is? No. Only by constraining do we create suffering because we disobey an essential rule of nature and reality. That we are God and we will do whatever we damn want. And this is why we must not judge and accept the “bad” in others. Because what is “bad” for us might be “good” for them. Only by transcending this good/bad cycle can we find relief from this drama of “one size fits all.” Whenever something bad happens to me maybe we should raise our consciousness to not complain and be so selfish. Be so selfish to the fact that someone out there “wanted” this to happen to us. Someone out there was one step closer to God, to truth, to happiness by doing these things. Maybe this is the one common thread that underlies all of humanity. That we will do whatever pleases us and by denying ourselves this action we create repressed feelings and suffering.

—

On that note…

The world of will – why the world is the way it is…

Earlier I’ve mentioned the concept of “things existing in this world because someone wants them to exist.” Think about something you do NOT like about this world. Now have you ever thought of the reason why such things exist? Let’s take one of my personal dislikes. I hate being lied to and taken advantage of. Sure most people don’t like that. What we don’t realize though is that many times in our lives we often lie and take advantage of others? I readily admit I do so myself. I am a liar. I want to take advantage of you because it makes my lower self feels good. Why do we do this even though we don’t like it ourselves? We do these things because we want to do these things. Thus lies and subjugation exist because we wanted it to. If we never desired to lie to another or take advantage of another would these things exist in the world? No. Therefore things exist in the world because someone out there wanted them to exist.

Given that – since we do not know anything about others in essence – what right do we have to project OUR thoughts”of the ideal world onto another being? By projecting our thoughts and judging there’s we create an implicit concept of worth. “My thoughts are better/worse than yours” is what results. Unfortunately this will ALWAYS bring up conflict because in it’s true nature the world bows not to one man as they say. Everyone thinks they are right. Everyone thinks they are rational. Unless they consciously choose not to everyone thinks they are doing the right thing at any given time. This happens because in a hard to explain way “everyone is correct.” Right and Wrong are illusions. Good and bad are illusions. What is bad for me may be good for you and vice versa. They are relative constructs with no grounding in objective reality. What I want you may label “bad” while what you want I may label “bad” even though you label it as “good”. I don’t want to exercise today. I don’t want to go to work today. I don’t want to do shit today. In fact I want to take advantage of someone today. As a society we label these things as “bad”. What society, what government, what people DO NOT REALIZE is what they consider “bad” is what I consider “GOOD”. Why should you judge my choices? What makes my choices worse than yours? So yes I may decide to do everything you consider bad but look at it this way. These things make -ME- happy. Happiness is -MINE- not yours. What makes me happy might make you sad. But WHAT RIGHT DO YOU HAVE TO INTRUDE UPON WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY?!?!

You say I would be happier if I did x, y, and z. But are you guaranteed that result? Are you me? Do you think my thoughts? Do you feel what I feel? No I am me and you are you. Until we raise our consciousness and realize we “just might be the same” you have to realize that one size fits none. That your “vision” of the perfect world is not “my vision”. You say I’m x but I think I’m y. You THINK that your vision of the perfect world makes me happier – but here’s your one mistake – YOU ARE NOT ME. Thus no common consensus is reached and the only conclusion we can make is that there is no objective labeling for me. Labels are useless. Stereotypes are always wrong. You want to know something? Until you can see through my eyes and walk in their shoes you know NOTHING about me. If I know nothing who am I to say I know things? You don’t have to listen to my words – you can outright deny them. I seek truth but you may be seeking truth as well and find we do not match up. That’s no problem – we are different people and we will each take different paths that lead to the same place. That which we seek – we desire – the desire that exists when all other desires are quenched – to be who we are.

What is ideal then? There is too much friction in a world unless you are the only one on it. Thus you can either kill everyone else or accept everyone else. Acceptance must be the key – we have already tried killing for most of the human consciousness and we are not much happier than we were when we stepped out of a cave thousands of years ago. As they often say if you want more of the same keep doing what you are doing. You may want more of the same. I don’t. So this is it – we must part until our paths cross again. And do not take this as judgement or condemnation – don’t take it personally as they say. I want something different now. You want more of the same. Whatever we choose we will both take the paths that make us happier. This is our one fallacy with looking at the world – my one fallacy with my concept of Optimalism I’ve covered earlier – that one path is better than the rest and we should all take that path. There is no better or worse path. Throw away your bibles and koran’s and talmud’s and writings of ancients and look inward. Look in yourself. The truth is within you because it is your truth and your truth alone. There is no wide and narrow path, no good / bad, no blessing / sin there is nothing but consciousness. You know that feeling of discontent well under religion. That something is MISSING. That something is LACKING. That despite all what you’ve been thought and indoctrinated and fed that there is something MORE. There is always more – we are infinite – our consciousness knows no bounds. Thus we seek to act the way we are. We seek to be who we are – we are God – specifically fragments of God, fragments of the whole. And this is why our world is the way it is – because every one is a fragment and every act is an “Act of God”. We all do what we want and we will never fully be satisfied until we do what we want to do for all time. And this is why the world – with all it’s imperfections – may be perfect as it is.

To end this let us reflect on the wisdom posted by this person on Yahoo Answers in regards to “Why do we always want more…”

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070923083624AAFlSQ4

Timaeus says:

“Augustine postulated that the insatiability of human desire is an indication of the grounding of that need in a transcendental reality that he identified as God. For Augustine, it is really God that we want, thus the seemingly infinite nature of human desire. Attempts to sate this desire with merely worldly realities cannot fulfill this need, as the desire itself must be overwhelmed by God’s infinite nature. This is the meaning of Augustine’s insight about the human condition: “You have made us for yourself O Lord, and our hearts are restless until they rest in you.” Many have proposed other theories of human desire and its rapacious need for fulfillment. The culture currently prefers biological and psychological explanations, but none of the proposals have proved ultimate, nor have they proved capable of “managing” the often impulsive nature of human desire.”

Hi All,

With some recent contemplation, my “no wrong way to eat a Reese’s” blog post, and reading/thinking more on the Lester Levenson release story I’ve come to the conclusion that the world is indeed perfect the way it is. Why is that?

1) When Lester Levenson gained full command of the world through love he decided he did not need to do anything. Despite the fact he could do anything he saw the world as perfect the way it is and thus decided not to act.

2) In my Reese’s blog post I discovered that there is no “right or wrong” way to live. Each of us have our own unique vision of what makes us happy in life. Thus we cannot apply a “one size fits all” approach to happiness through the enforcement of optimal choices. Thus making all optimal and all perfect choices in your life may not lead you to happiness. You can do everything right but still feel like everything is wrong. Thus as each of us has our own unique key to happiness we can redefine perfection maybe as “everyone doing whatever they want that makes them the most happy.” Given that then maybe our world is still imperfect but not to the degree of being totally trashed. Maybe we are just baby steps off perfection and our awareness is too focused on singular things to realize that. Maybe the person fusing bombs to their chest or polishing off their rifle is similing – having a great time – knowing death will exalt him and give them the greatest happiness. Some people like pain – but pain is usually indicative of a bad choice. Thus optimal choices may not be necessary to reach happiness and the world may be just fine as it is despite what we think.

3) If you believe in such things as God or higher beings or even evolutionary physics (a self coined term for the mechanisms the world uses to regulate itself i.e. natural selection) then you may have noticed that the world is slow to act or does not act at all in most cases. Whenever someone robs a bank or machine guns a group of people down no magical force of nature or act of God instantly crushes them for their wrong doings. Whenever people do good things for others gold and jewels don’t rain down on them. It seems the world is “on it’s own” running under some pre established rules of nature. If this is so that can suggest two things – that there is no God – or there is a God which depicts the world as it is as perfect – and thus does not act. There is no proof I have to argue that God depicts our world as imperfect and thus must “clean it up” so there is a possbility that our world is perfect or in no need of external intervention.

Whatever it is the world might be perfect as it is – and this possibility will invalidate one of the statements on my proof:

The God is not based on fear argument – prove by contradiction

Assume God is based on Fear
To those faiths who believe in a God or higher power, this higher power or God is a creator of the world. At the very least they are a model of the world (how things should be)
As it follows – if God is based on fear, the world will be a reflection of God if God is a creator – deriving a world of fear. If God is a model – then the model for the world is one of fear.
We are currently living in a world of fear (there is not much love in Earth 2007 – we are still fearful, insecure, and distrustful of others [most of us anyway])
Since the world is based on fear and God is either the creator or model of fear our world is perfected!
The contradiction is though that our world is not perfect. If the world was perfect we would be completely satisfied.
But we are NOT Satisified. People all over the world yearn “for better”. This blog exists because I am discontent with the world.
Therefore the world is not in a perfect state. (world might be perfect)
Therefore God cannot be based on Fear.

Given that let’s continue and assume the world is perfect, then in consequence:

The world is perfect

Thus we cannot conclude anything about God

Thus maybe the nature of God is beyond the mental capacity of the human brain

Thus God may be based on fear.

Given that I still feel a strong internal resistance to the fact that our God is based on fear – therefore let’s put down an alternate argument. This simple but concise argument comes from the book, “Ami, Child of the Stars”.

“You said that there are people you find difficult to love, right Jim?”

“Yes.”

“Is it bad not to love?”

“Of course,” I replied.

“Why?”

“Because you said that love is the principal fundamental…and all that.”

“Forget what I told you. Let’s suppose that I’m fooling you, or that I’m mistaken. Imagine a Universe without love.”

I began to imagine worlds where no one loved anyone. Everyone was cold and egocentric because without love there’s no brake on the ego, as Ami had said. Everyone struggled against everyone else and they all destroyed each other… I remembered the energy that he had mentioned, that energy which was capable of producing a cosmic catastrophe. I imagined a guy who was very powerful but who was an unfeeling fanatic or who had an ego that was out of control to the point that his own destruction didn’t matter to him. I imagined him pushing “the button” just for vengeance… Galaxies were exploding in a chain reaction!

“If there were no love, the Universe wouldn’t exist anymore,” I deduced.

“Then could we say that love builds and the lack of love destroys?”

“I think so.”

“Who created the Universe?”

“God.”

“If love builds and God ‘built’ the Universe, is there love in God?”

“Of course!” There appeared to me the image of a shining, marvelous being who created galaxies, worlds, stars.

“Try to leave off the beard again,” Ami laughed.

It was true. One again I had imagined Him with a beard and a human face, but now He was in the middle of the Universe instead of in the clouds.

“Then we can say that God has much love…”

“Of course,” I said.
